ST. ANN SCHOOL
May 16, 2008
Dear Parents,
Today, as a school, we honored our Blessed Mother at our Marian Prayer Service. There were special prayers and liturgical dances too. The only Marian practice that we didn’t include today was the rosary, due to lunch times and the needs of our senior citizen guests. We will say the rosary as a school soon, so please be sure that your child knows where to find theirs to use for this special time. I hope that it is “out of a dresser drawer” more during other months too.
The Charger Chorus will give an end of the year performance on Monday night at 7:00 p.m. in the Trinity Rooms here at school. All are invited to attend this concert. Thanks to Mrs. Bosch and Mrs. Flynn for all of their work with our musically talented students.
Our Drama Club will present Peter Pan on Tuesday during two performance times. Grades K-4 are invited to attend at 9:45, and Grades 5-8 are invited to attend at 1:15. Both performances are in the Trinity Rooms. Thanks to Mrs. Muro for her work during the weekly Activity Period (and beyond) with these talented actors.
Each year our Fifth Grade makes and launches rockets and this year is no exception! They’ve been busy making them in Science class and now they’re ready. Rocket Day is Wednesday, and all are invited to see them lift off beginning around 12:30 p.m.. The launch pad is behind the library next door and back towards Ronald Reagan Highway on our fields.
Apparently there was some confusion caused by a recent Care News/OLG bulletin resulting in many phone calls. Our school (St. Ann) is following our published calendar as written. Other schools (LF or Assumption) may or may not, but the last day here is still June 6th and dismissal will be at 11:30 a.m..
Have a good week!
Sincerely,
Marianne Rosemond
